ORDER LAMB

Ordering a lamb from the Crazy Mare Ranch is a simple process, outlined below. Please contact us directly to discuss custom arrangements or to order off the hoof.

Step 1.  Pre-order your lamb
We sell our lambs by the whole based on their weight (usually finished between 110 and 120 lbs).

 

The final cost of the lamb is based on market price and typically ranges between $195 and $230. For the fall of 2011, we have 30 lambs available.

Please pre-order your lamb with a $100 deposit by contacting us directly or adding the product below to your shopping cart.

You will be invoiced for the outstanding balance, less your deposit.

 

Step 2. Inspection & Dressing
When the lambs are ready for butchering in the fall, you will be contacted by the Crazy Mare Ranch to initiate arrangements to process your animal at the abattoir of your choice.  Payment for dressing the lamb is generally around $70 (excluding any custom cuts) and is to be paid directly to the abattoir.

Step 3.  Final Payment & Pick-up
The final cost of your lamb is due (less the $100 deposit) prior to The Crazy Mare Ranch delivering the animal to the abattoir.  Once the lamb has been killed, cut, inspected and wrapped at the abattoir, you will be contacted to pick-up your meat.  A lamb from our ranch, once dressed, typically works out to 45 – 50 lbs of meat.
